We take care of our healthcare by means of 2 tiers of insurance. The first tier is disaster sickness - for this, insurance is the answer. Healthcare coverage plans which contain a high deductible (for example, $2,500 a year) are not very expensive, even when the benefit is extremely generous ($5,000,000). This is because most individuals don't get catastrophic illnesses or physical injuries.

The next level compromises health maintenance as well as regular medical treatments. For these, health coverage is not the answer. Instead, there are 2 alternatives. the first is for people to cover these costs by their own means.
